If I turn off the plug in will it reset all articles to chronological order? I had a users move some things around and now articles from 2013 are appearing at the top and things seemed jumbled. I just need to reset it so all articles are newest to oldest like the default WordPress.

if you de-activate the plugin, the order should restore as before. Or you can turn off Autosort and include the ‘orderby’ => ‘term_order’ within your theme get_terms queries.
