Resizing thumbnails for themes

    I am using the new myMag theme which allows for thumbnails to be displayed on the home page. I know that this is a WP tool (post thumbnail), however when I use this the thumbnail images is not how I would like it to be displayed.

    For expample if I have an image that appears normal, the thumbnail will be zoomed in and chops off a head. I understand that it centres the image in some way but can I override this and move the image to what I think looks best?

    not using the built in wordpress thumbnail feature. The only options you have are hard crop vs. resize of the image. But you can’t tell WP where to crop from, etc. On a per-pic basis, or at all really
