As you can see at the bottom of the website I have 2 tables side-by-side using the responsive table extension. For many users this is displayed correctly, however for some users it is displayed in this way: https://imgur.com/a/bM8LX9n

Do you know how to resolve this?

Many Thanks and love the plugin!

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Do you mean the green “+” icon that shows there? That’s coming from the TablePress Responsive Tables Extension. If you don’t want this, you should change the responsiveness mode to something else than collapse.

    Hi,

If you go to this page: https://akkatips.com/images on desktop you will see how it is meant to look. Whereas on mobile when you click on the + icon nothing happens.

    Hi,

yes, I know. To achieve this on mobile, please remove the responsive=collapse parameter from the Shortcode on this page.

    Hi,

Is there no way to retain the collapse feature without it not being available on mobile? As the table would be too large as you can see on the updated page now.

    Hi,

you basically have to collapse features right now. One from the TablePress Row Details Extension and the one from the TablePress Responsive Tables Extension. It does not make sense to have both.

Can you please try my suggestion so that we can see how it looks then?

    Hi,

You can see how it looks without the collapse via this link https://akkatips.com/images.

It might be easier to see how it looks on some devices: https://imgur.com/a/GVYqrsZ

    Hi,

I’m confused here. What is it that you want to achieve? And what is not working?

    Hi,

I would like the collapse to work on mobile. Currently it does not. As seen in the image. The left side is not showing anything and the right side is how it should look. https://imgur.com/a/GVYqrsZ

From what I can gather when the screen width is less than 360 the table can’t be shown in a responsive layout.

    Hi,

as I said above, you are currently using two separate collapse features. That won’t work. I really believe that you will get what you want, if you remove the responsive=collapse from both table Shortcodes that are shown there.

    Hi Tobias,

Here is what the code looks like for the tables currently https://ibb.co/tM9MdpN. Perhaps refreshing the page will show them updated to without the collapse for you?

Here is a gif as well showing the issue a bit better: https://postimg.cc/SJ2PB7WW

    Hi,

    ok, can you please add

    responsive=""

as an extra parameter to these Shortcodes?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hey Tobias,

Unfortunately the issue remains on mobile screens. Shortcode is now:
    [table id=293 datatables_row_details=true datatables_row_details_columns="B-P" responsive="" /]

What I’ve found is between the widths of 0px-375px neither table works. And from 376px -387px only 1 table is shown.

    Best Regards,
    Akka

    Hey Tobias,

I think you have managed to solve it now! I think for some reason the changes weren’t showing up correctly.

You have been great and extremely helpful thank you a lot!

    Have a great weekend.

    Hi,

    for me, it’s still broken…

I don’t really understand why the responsive collapse is still there… Are you using any other TablePress Extensions, or maybe the plugin filter hook to turn that on for all tables?

    Regards,
    Tobias
