Responsive design, hover effect and the Sorter

Great plugin! I got three questions
My website is has a responsive design and will change size on different devices. Is it possible to change the amount of columns, that will show content, based on the window size?
Is it possible to turn off the Hover effects of the thumbnails?
Is there any documentation on the working of the sorter. It seems now like a long list. I would like to sort my categories one by one is that possible?
