Responsive Header on Tablet/Mobile
-
Dear All,
I have been using the Sydney theme for WordPress for ages and maybe this has never bothered me before, but I am really struggling with the header on the tablet and mobile view.
My issue is really simple and I am questioning if I set up something incorrectly or if it is a function missing? If you look at my home page on the website mentioned I would like the header slider to also fill the entire screen when on tablet or mobile and not just parts of it. Same as with the desktop view basically. I really dislike not having the possibility to change this the way I described. Secondly, if I navigate the menu, let’s see to the page “Bio” I get a black header and underneath the header image on mobile and tablet. Especially in tablet it uses up like half of the screen and is not only ugly, but also highly unpractical. Maybe my settings are wrong, who knows. I am just asking if you could please help me to fix those issues. But, credit where credit is due. Besides those two few issues I have been loving the theme for years and appreciate all the great work you are doing. Thanks for that!
Best Regards
Janosch

Hi Janosch,
Thank you for reaching out to us with some queries.
To help you in a better way, I’d like to address your first query, and this will also help track progress easier.
If you look at my home page on the website mentioned I would like the header slider to also fill the entire screen when on tablet or mobile and not just parts of it.
You can enable full screen slider on mobile screen by going to the Appearance menu > Customize > Header area > Header Slider; scroll down to find the Slider mobile behavior section, select Full screen, and publish/update.
I hope this helps.
Feel free to raise separate topics for other queries. Please use one topic for one question.

KharisHello Kharis,
Thanks for addressing my first query. I swear I played around with that setting before and I am certain that it did not work before. I am probably wrong, yet, I am kind of perplexed in regards to what I did wrong. Anyway, I did change the setting as you told me to and now it works marvellously. Thanks for the great, quick and kind help!
Regards,
Janosch
