Responsive – Same collapsing, others aren’t

    Cheers for a great plugin Tobias.

    We’re using the responsive add-on and have some erratic behavior happening when it collapses.

    What should be happening:

    The tables fully collapse – leaving only the first column visible, with the plus sign in place.

    What is happening:

    Some tables fully collapse (the first table and the last table), but others shift to varying degrees. Some show two columns, others three.

    How to replicate:

    1. Shrink the browser window to it’s smallest size.
    2. Open up the page on a mobile browser

    Browsers:

    1. Chrome, Mac 75.0.3770.100
    2. Firefox, Mac 67.0.4
    3. Safari, Mac 12.1.1

    It’s been like this for a bit, but digging after digging through various libraries and trying some CSS solutions, I’m a bit stumped.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    From what I can see, everything is working correctly here. The collapse mode will basically shrink columns, and hide/collapse them if they don’t fit on the screen anymore, otherwise.

    It just so happens that it is able to make several columns fit in the latter tables, whereas it can only fit one column in the first table.

    You could maybe try playing with the min-width CSS property (instead of width) in your CSS.
