Responsive spacing fix breaks full width view

If I enable “Shrink slideshow’s height when width shrinks” the spacing between the slider and menu is perfect on mobile, but the header slider is then MISSING in full width(computer).

If I disable “Shrink slideshow’s height when width shrinks” the spacing between the slider and menu is waaay off on mobile, but is perfect on full width(computer).

how can I resolve this?? I am going crazy trying to figure it out.
