    Is there a way for the plugin to make a REST call to a web service that in turn responses back with a properly formatted JSON?

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    If that REST call is a GET call to a URL, you could use that URL for an import on the “Import” screen.
    The service would have to return a two-dimensional JSON-encoded array.
