Hi. I still have massive problems over all my installations with backwpup. Is there a way to start the wizzard again manually and overwrite the older legacy jobs? It has worked for years, and now i have to controll all the old installations, because they dont work like it whould and backup to the ftp anymore. really sad.

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out — I’m really sorry to hear about the trouble across your installations.

Just to clarify: legacy jobs (from versions before 5.0) are no longer editable in the new interface. However, they can still run as they were — and starting from version 5.1.3, you can access and activate those legacy jobs from Advanced Settings > Jobs > Access to Legacy Jobs.

If you don’t see them there, it might mean they were either not migrated properly or got disabled during a previous update.

Regarding the FTP issue — could you please elaborate a bit? For example:

    • Does the backup job start but fail midway?
    • Is there an error message in the backup log?
    • Or is the issue related to connecting with the FTP server (e.g., authentication or folder permissions)?

Once we know more about the specific behavior or any errors you’re seeing, we’ll be glad to help troubleshoot from there.

    Looking forward to your reply!
