    Hello,

I have found myself in a similar situation as others have reported, I would like to reset my Admin capabilities. I think I need to delete AAM and start fresh, but I cannot access the Plug-ins menu, even though the capabilities set in the AAM menu allow access to add/edit/delete plugins.

Things I have tried (after backing up my DB, I’m working locally during these tests):
    – Delete AAM plugin from wp-content
    – Create a new Admin permission from Administrator
    – AAM Utilities, Clear All Settings, turned off all options
    – Deleted all fields in wp_options and wp_usermeta containing ‘aam’

Still, I cannot access my plugins page OR edit any pages. This is very bad news for me today.

Any ideas what to do next?

I did find that when I was looking to solve my problem, however, wp_user_roles was not in the wp_options table.

I resolved this issue by restoring the options and users tables from a backup.
