Restore back up – content missing

    Hi

    It’s happened on two occasions, we’ve run a restore and the same content and templates where missing after the restore.

    We’ve manually restored the content now.

    The 1st instance was when we moved the site from one server to another
    The 2nd instant happened when only the theme file were restored.

    Site info:
    WP version: 5.1.1.
    PHP Version: 7.2.1.6
    MySQL version: 5.5.60-MariaDB
    WooCommerce database version: 3.5.7
    Parent theme name: Betheme
    Parent theme version: 21.1

    The site is running on a dedicated server.

    We are wondering what could be causing the issue with some of the content and templates not restoring.

    Hi,

    You say you only restored the theme *files*. Where are the theme templates stored by Betheme? As files, or in the database? The *files* means specifically wp-content/themes. It does not include any *data* (whether that data is related to themes or not) – that’s all in the database backup.
