• Hello, I am trying to restore my website using UpdraftPlus, but I keep encountering this error: Error: Existing unremoved folders from a previous restore exist (please use the “Delete old folders” button to delete them before trying again): /mnt/stor11-wc1-ord1/981782/www.cogic.org/web/content/wp-content/updraft/themes-old I have used the “Delete old folders” button, but the error persists and the restore fails. I am not familiar with accessing my hosting file manager or FTP. Can you please help me resolve this issue so I can restore my backup? Hi @vmarsh7,

The error indicates that an old restore folder (themes-old) was not fully removed, which is preventing the new restore from continuing.

Since the “Delete old folders” button did not clear it, an easier option (if you’re not using FTP) would be to temporarily install a file manager plugin such as WP File Manager, then navigate to:

    • wp-content/themes-old
    • and delete the themes-old folder manually.
    • After deleting it, please try the restore again.

    Kind Regards,
    Bryle
