    Hello @jackiebrown25 ,

By your latest debug code, it seems that the backup creation was actually a success. Can you please check the plugin section “Manage & Restore Backups”, if the backup file is listed there?

    Kind regards

    Hi @jackiebrown25

Please update the plugin to latest version v1.4.3 and reset plugin configuration.

Your backup fails to be correct because you includes damaged and most likely conflicting with our compression file from third party backup plugin.

By default these files are excluded but you disabled filter for files larger than 100 MBs and this is the only one file that matches this criteria, in WordPress it’s very unlikely that you will have some file above 100 MB other than backup file.

In latest version our default configuration also excludes these backups by name, so in this case if you really need you can also uncheck that filter for file size, nevertheless I recommend you to stick with default configuration as long as it works, we update it periodically based on user issues, so we’re always up to date in terms of what is required for the backup and what is not.

If our plugin sees compressed file it won’t perform additional compression to save resources, if the file is damaged it will also damage our file, but the plugin won’t know that until the process finishes. Our backup(s) list validates that and it can only display valid and restorable backup, it’s good practice to check from time to time if backups here are getting displayed, It won’t display here file that is incomplete or impossible to restore, opposite to other plugins which can display broken or incomplete backups as they base on “trust” it works.

Go to Troubleshooting section -> Show advanced options
    Reset plugin configuration: https://prnt.sc/Fx16HdqXfc6j

Let me know if that resolves your issue 🙂
    Thank you!
