Hello @gustavfreudmann ,
Something prevented backup file from being downloaded. The quickest solution:
Please upload the backup file manually to the destination site, and then run Restore. You can manage all of this from the plugin section “Manage & Restore Backups”.
Kind regards
Thank you! Both methods do not work. Neither the download via URL nor the download of the locally stored ZIP. Mabe it has to do with some PHP-Settings, that should be adapted. Is there perhaps an explanation somwhere, what settings are needed?

Hey @gustavfreudmann ,
“nor the download of the locally stored ZIP” – you mean the upload?
Do you get any kind of error during the upload attempts (from the plugin section “Manage & Restore Backups)? Error should point out the issue.
Without the error, we can make a few guesses:
In cases such as this, it is usually a server-side limitation or security tools that are standing in the way. Please make sure that the relevant folders (/wordpress/wp-content/backup-migration-XgZr0lbB5T) have the writing permissions.
Please also check the server/hosting limits on the upload file size.
Lastly, try to temporarily disable security tools that might be interfering.
If, after all of this, the file upload from the plugin is still blocked, please try using other means like FTP or cPanel to add the backup to the proper folder, defined in the plugin section “Where shall the backups be stored?”
Kind regards
I can confirm, that after transfering the backup file from the source installation to the backup directory of the target installation, restoring works like a charme. So I will search myself for the reasons of the problem. Thank you for support!
