Restore one image from backup

    One of my images has disappeared from the page, can I restore this single image from a backup created by Updraftplus?

    Hi,

    You can but you would have to restore the entire component. It would be easier to just re-upload the missing image.

    Not sure what you mean by the “entire component” – I can’t restore too much as there have been modifications to the pages which could be overwritten if I restore too much.

    Right now, the only location for the missing image is on the back-up so I can’t reload it unless I can extract it.

    Entire component – this means all of the files in the Uploads section of the backup

    You have two options;

    1. You can download your Uploads and find the image.
    2. You can restore all of the uploads on a test site and then extract the image from there.
