You can set yourself a new password by following this:

And the /livien ? Yes, you need to make 2 changes in that table, and a guide to that is here:

1. If you lost your password, just email yourself a new one with the lost password page. But you will probably have to do #2 first.
2. Yes, delete all references for the /livien and replace with your new address.
I assume by restore that you are:
– Creating a new database
– Go through the install procedure
– Go back to phpmyadmin and delete your wp tables
– Open you old sql file
– Replace the directory, and rename the database name to the new database
– Upload the recomposed sql file to your new database

Hi!
I have messed around – changed the URL – and I can log in OK to the dashoard – but now the site is completely blank…
Is it because I haven’t uploaded my old theme files?
The lack of a theme, or a damaged theme does cause blankness, yes.

OK… now I have something coming up. But I am back to where I started where if I click on anything – it says “no input file specified” (thanks for your help so far)
Try redoing your permalinks ?

“Click on anything” meaning any of the links (archives etc) within the site…
To answer Vrada’s questions:
I created a new database
went through install procedure
deleted wp tables
*not sure what you mean by “replace the directory and rename database name to the new database…”
well, the new database name is not the same as the old one… perhaps this is where I am going wrong? but then the content wouldn’t load at all if that is the case ?

Do I redo the permalinks by just updating the structure in dashboard? Sorry – not sure how?
The database and the connection to it are fine, otherwise as you say it just wouldn’t work.
I would try this:
Go to Options > permalinks
If there is anything in the ‘Structure’ box, empty it.
Click Update
Then put your desired structure in that box
Click Update
Then depending on whether wp can write to the .htaccess this part of the troubleshooting will be done.
(Before you do this, ensure you have a .htaccess and that it’s file permissions are 666)
