Restoring problem

I’m trying to recover a WordPress blog from 2012. It shows on the https://wordpress.backup-technology.com/Backups but it was created with 2.2.18.
I created a new WordPress installation 3.8.1 installed the plug in and connected to the back up server, no problem!
However the On Line back up server shows 0% use, the backup page showss 99.92MB used.
I can browse the files from the back up page and even download a snapshot but have no obvious way to restore it.
Trying importing the snapshot database but WordPress doesn’t seem to recognise it.
Please help!
