    I use UpdraftPlus backed up to Dropbox. Everything seems to have been fine. Now it’s time to restore a previous version. But when I attempt it, I get a message telling me that the file was was found, but the size was different than expected, and it may be corrupt.

    I found that someone had asked this question previously on this forum, but it had not been resolved.

    What do I do? I rely heavily on all my content being backed up by UpdraftPlus. If the restore doesn’t work I will lose a LOT of content.

    Hi,

    The backup log does not show any errors or warnings occurring during the backup.

    Please could you download the backup files to your local machine, and attempt to unzip them? Do they unzip correctly, or do you receive an error?

    I did try downloading the backup files (5 total) onto my computer. All of them unzipped just fine with the exception of the ‘plugins’ folder, which just made duplicates of itself instead of opening. I received no error messages on my computer. Is that normal, or does it speak to a bigger problem?

    I uploaded the files to my site and attempted a restore, but then received the same “error… file sizes different than expected…” message.
