How can I stop authors from editing and deleting my tablepress tables? Tablepress seems to be the anomaly I am unable to find a way to restrict access to. Would much appreciate any help

also would it be possible to allow authors to create but not delete or edit tables

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Directly assigning such access rights to a user role is not directly possible in TablePress or WordPress, but requires a role managing plugin.
I recommend the Members plugin from https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/members/ for this. It has a Role Manager that you can use to assign extra access capabilities to a user role.
