My question is very simple hence I am sure it is asked before but still going through a lot of pages on this forum didn’t give a very conclusive answer.

How do I restrict a menu item?

What I read in other topics is that it’s supposed to be set at appearance->menus but for me nothing outside of general wordpress is displayed there. I am using the Shapely theme, can that be the problem? The menu item I try to hide is just a category menu item so I would expect nothing theme related to be involved here.

My screen looks like the bottom poster on this thread. Just no plugin related fields to be seen in the menu item.

Hope you can help me out I’m kinda new to wordpress.

Thank you for reporting this. This has been fixed in version 0.13, so you should now be able to restrict menu items in WordPress 4.7.

Let me know if you’re still experiencing problems after updating the plugin.

When I log in with the access rights to the menu item, it shows fine, when I am logged out it doesn’t show as supposed to. However when I am logged in on an account without access it gives me above stated error.

edit: nvm, noticed someone in a different thread reported this aswell and replaced ”, with array(), like you said and it works now. Thank you for the support.

I’m glad you found the answer in the other thread and that everything works now. The fix will be part of the next release, which will be out soon.
