Restricting user registration

    I recently began receiving malicious (spam/bot) user registration/email from mail.ru and others similar. We never had this issue until we switched host providers to siteground. after many rounds of troubleshooting – nothing has worked. they advised i install “restrict user registration” plugin but it appears to conflict.

    1. I want to allow registrations.

    2. I want to restrict registrations from specific email domains, such as mail.ru

    3. I am using WordPress 4.7.3

    4. I have a captcha plugin but apparently they are getting around it ?

    There’s a few good anti-SPAMMER plugins around. I’ve used Wangguard with pretty good success in the past, but there’s others as well, so it’s worth doing a search and seeing what you can find..
