Hi, can you confirm that you were definitely signed in while navigating the course and clicking the Resume button? Is there anything else that might be restricting access to lesson/topic pages (e.g. Closed course type, membership plugins, groups, etc.)? The button certainly works with Closed courses and correct permissions, but I’m wondering if there might be a conflict or anything else that could direct users back to the course page.
Thanks for the reply.
He course is closed but I am logged in and there is no permission restriction.
When I hover over the button it always shows the same url (the course main page)..
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to replicate this issue on our server. There are a few things you can try to help identify the issue:
- Can you try temporarily disabling the other plugins running on your site and see if that resolves the issue?
- Can you try switching to another theme temporarily to see if it’s a theme conflict?
- Can you try disabling any caching on the server?
- Can you confirm that the resume button is not placed on the course page itself?
- Can you try going to the course page, clicking a lesson (and waiting for the page to load), then navigating back to the page containing the resume button directly (by typing the URL in your address bar) and see if the resume button URL has changed to the lesson URL?
mmm. so I cannot have it on the course page? I figured that having it on the court page the student can go to the course page and click resume…
OK – I will remove it and see if placing it only on the profile page works.
Will update you.
Having it on the course page means the course page is the last page loaded in LearnDash–so as soon as someone visits a course page that would be what the Resume button points to. The Resume button should not be on a course, lesson, topic or other LearnDash page.
