Hi @jglazer63,
Front-end editing is not included with the plugin, but it is compatible with any front-end editor that you can find. I put together a list of compatible frontend editing plugins a while ago, but the post is older and some of the plugins are out of date, etc. It was written with Pro users in mind but the same also applies to the free version of USP. Hopefully it gives you some ideas going forward.
Thanks, I’ll check it out. My users are not going to be very “advanced” as I know a lot of them are retired.
Any thoughts about adding this functionality to a “pro” version. I am a programmer and instructor of more than 30 years and would be happy to support any additional development 🙂
Also I should mention that with USP, submitted posts are handled by WordPress just like regular WP posts. So that means they will appear under the “Posts” screen in the WP Admin Area, and will be editable, etc. just like any other WP post. Also means that the usual roles and user capabilities that apply to regular posts also will apply to submitted posts. For example, admins and editors can log in any time to manage submitted posts.
