Hi!
PNG images shows black background when converted. Is there any way I can revert it?@danydandan It’s best to just deactivate and uninstall the plugin. Then everything will be restored to its original state. The plugin does not modify your original images.
Which image conversion method did you use? Gd, Imagick or Remote server?
Understood, thank you. I used GD method
@danydandan Probably it is due to the limitations of the Gd library. I remember that there were problems with this library on certain versions of PHP – but it is independent of my plugin.
I recommend trying Imagick libraries or Remote server methods. These methods allow you to achieve better converting results and there should be no black background problems.
Alright! I will try Imagick and let you know if there is any problem. Thank you so much!
Hi @mateuszgbiorczyk! What should I do if the image can’t be converted to webp?
@danydandan What do you mean? I don’t quite understand your question.
This error:
Image “this-image.jpg” converted to .webp is larger than original and converted .webp file has been deleted.@danydandan What quality level do you use in plugin settings?
If you get this error that means the original image weighed less than WebP. This happens when images have been compressed before. You don’t have to worry about it. If you would like to have most of the images converted to the next generation format, I encourage you to try also the AVIF format. It allows you to achieve a higher level of image compression and your images should be even smaller.
I am using the recommended, 85%. Also, yes, the images have been compressed before π
@danydandan Please give me URL of your website.
The site is still under development. I tried changing the quality to 80%, I think it is working. Thank you!!
