Reviews on variable products

    Is it possible to add reviews to the variants (size, color etc) of a variable product?

    I am asking this because Google Merchant wants the variable product as their own items, with their own GTIN, SKU etc. And their own comments/rating.

    Maybe it would be fine to have a shared rating for all the variants of the variable product on the website. But I think somehow they need to be distinguished by variant as well.

    Since product variants have a post ID, then yes it’s technically possible to do this. However, product variants are not public post_types (i.e. they do not have a permalink) so if you did that, it would break the assigned links that are displayed in reviews.
