Rewrite and Republish

Hi there, 

My assistant has been rewriting some of my old blog posts and was doing so through the rewrite and republish feature. She recently realized that nearly every post has an issue with it. 
In some instances the post never republished (and when she tries to republish it she gets an error message). In others, the old and new posts have been combined together. She also noticed that some of them were out of order and started with the middle of the post. Can you shed any light on this issue and help me troubleshoot? 

For reference, one of the posts she recently fixed was my Cranberry Sauce recipe, and some of the posts that still have the issues include the Simple Crepe, Fruit Cake, and Meat Loaf recipes.
