I’ve used Code Snippets for years and recommend it often during plugin support, as it’s the best way to manage custom code, especially if it doesn’t relate to your current theme directly. Deactivating snippets makes troubleshooting simple without needing to delete / re-add custom code to a functions.php file, and the built-in handling for opening php tags saves tons of sites.
