Right side bar will not remove

I am unable to get rid of the right side bar on my Archives page.

When I go to that page via the navigation menu of my site, there is a sidebar on the right. I say this because when I actually click on and open the post there is no longer a sidebar, as in everything looks the way I want it to. But on the category page itself (archives page) the side bar is there. So I went into the customizer and under Layout> Archives> I removed the checkmark from <Show right sidebar>.

In the live preview it removed the sidebar and the post fills the whole width of the container on the archives page, just like I want it to. Then I clicked on Save and Publish.

However, on the actual website, the sidebar is still there. It simply will not remove.

Am I doing something wrong?
