Right Sidebar Is Below Content

    If you look at one of the pages of the demo site that has a right sidebar, like About or the single post page Elements, you will see that the sidebar is below the content instead of to the right of it. I haven’t tested it on other browsers, but in Firefox this is the case regardless of the resolution I have tried.

    I can fix the sidebar placement problem on some pages (Elements) by setting the width of the primary content area to 80% instead of 94%, but it doesn’t solve the problem on other pages, like Worth a Thousand Words.

    Is there a fix for this that won’t break the responsive nature of this theme?

    Are you zoomed in? I see the sidebar on the right in the About and Single Posts page in Chrome.

    No, that’s a good thought, but I’m not zoomed in. It looks like it may be a browser issue then, or at least not affect Chrome, maybe not even Windoze, because I’m on Linux and FF 32.0.

    I just installed and tested it in Chromium, and I see a completely different display. In Chromium, the sidebar is all black and on the left.

    The URL you linked is wrong, that’s the Twenty Fourteen theme.

    Sorry about that. I just copied the URL out of the browser. That is definitely the wrong URL.

    I just tried the demo in Win 7/FF and the sidebar is in the correct location with it, so it’s got to be my OS/browser.

    I have the same problem if I go to the theme demo here.

    Very strange. I’m glad it’s not going to affect most users, but it’s a real drag it happens in my development environment. I would like the find the cause…

    This was a Firefox issue. I apparently had some saved settings in my profile that were messing up the site’s display.

    I wish I could have identified exactly what it was, but I ended up fixing it by resetting Firefox according to these instructions, which fixed the problem.
