Aperantly my robots.txt is virtual and cannot be modified.

I think that once you actually create a real robots.txt file in the root of your domain, the real file will be given precedence over the wordpress virtual robots.txt file.
And again, another option is to take some time and read about some of the available plugins to help you manage the robots file. Here’s another one – http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/plugins/pc-robotstxt/
