If I am using the Role Based Methods extension with WooCommerce will deselecting PayPal Express Checkout for a particular role prevent the PayPal Express checkout button from appearing on a single product page for any user logged in as a user with that role?

I’m afraid I cannot answer that as I have not specifically tested that plugin at all.

I would recommend loading it up on a staging site and test the functionality before attempting it on your live site.
