• We have been working with 3.9 version for a couple of weeks now.

Can we roll back to the previous version. This new version has really complicated the way we can load photos, our spacing is off, creates bold text that needs to be unbolded etc. We often have to reload our photos now.

We had no problems with the previous version, but this version takes us a lot more time to post our blog including photos.

If WordPress would give people the option to chosse which version they prefer to work in, you will get a great indication of what works best.

I understand that WordPress’s position of not being able to keep the older version but we would really appreciate the option.

why would you want to do that when it would place your site at significant risk of being hacked? See http://blog.sucuri.net/2012/03/wordpress-understanding-its-true-vulnerability.html

Nothing was changed in the uploading of images in WordPress 3.9

This sounds like you have a poor or incompatible theme. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I think you’ve hit on it exactly. In November, we were advised by our IT consultants that our then existing theme was out dated and we should upgrade to a new theme. We did and after looking into our Theme just now as you had suggested we see it is not a WordPress theme but it looks its one that they may have developed and given us. How disapointing….How difficult is it for us to change to a WordPress theme?

Pretty easy. Just choose a new theme, download it and activate via Appearance -> Themes. Have a look at the Appearance_Themes_Screen if you haven’t done this before.
