• I have currently a website. i’m keen to install wordpress to act as a blog for my website. Hence, im confuse whether to install it in a root directory? or its better to install it in likw http://www.abc.com/blog. Which will be more SEO friendly? And if its installed in my root directory, will there be problem if i want to remove it later on?

    Thanks in advance

  • Which will be more SEO friendly?

Depends upon the subject of your blog and the name of the folder that you install it in. For example, a cake-making blog at domain.com/widgets wouldn’t do as well as one at domain.com/cakes.

You can also install your blog in a sub-folder yet still have it running as if it was in your root folder.

It sounds like you want to keep your existing site running not using wp to run your entire site.

If this is the case install wp in it’s own folder.
