• Question and I need help.

I have multiple domains on my account on my hosting company.

When I install WP into the root directory like:

    mysite.com/wp-login.php (It loads VERY slow).

But, when I put it in a directly like mysite.com/wp/wp-login.php it loads right away.

I have never had trouble before in the root directory. I am asking my hosting company about the issue, but they are taking forever to get back to me.

The WP installation was done with a fresh database and install via cpanel software center.

  • Do you have any other files or folders in this root folder that are not related to your WP installs?

    Hi.

Yes, we have a temp normal index.html page up and some audio etc in there while we build the real wp site.

I was debating about backing everything up, deleting the subdomain and re-adding it back. Reinstalling wp again after that and see how it behaves.

Are you installing in root or not? If unsure, ask host to take a look.
