Roots Theme & NGG JS Compatibility Error

    I am using Roots Theme, its a popular responsive framework.

    I am using the latest version of NGG and the latest version of wordpress, and all my other plugins deactivated and I am still getting javascript errors. Yet when I disable NGG everything is fine. Is there any way to fix this?

    This theme is fine with version 1.9.3 of next gen gallery which I am using on another site.
