    Hi Tobias,

Thank you for the great plugin!

I’m having some trouble using the Tablepress filter functionality with this plugin: https://tablepress.org/extensions/row-filter/

I’m trying to filter using characters such as ‘ and . using the shortcode, however, it seems that Tablepress doesn’t seem to recognise this.

For example, I might be trying to look for “Bob’s A1 Steak Sauce” – I’ve tried the following shortcode but it doesnt’ seem to locate this.

    [table id=14 filter=”Bob’s A1 Steak Sauce”]

When I change it to “Bobs A1 Steak Sauce” it seems to work properly.

I have a similar issue with trying to locate rows with full stops “.”, including using three full stops in a row “…”. For example I don’t seem to be able to filter rows that might have “Bobs… A1 Steak Sauce”.

Just wondering whether this is a known issue and whether there might be any solution for this?

    Thank you for your assistance!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I can’t seem to reproduce this. I set up a test page and the filtering is working fine: https://trembleoil.s4-tastewp.com/sample-page/

Can you maybe provide more detailed data, and maybe send me a JSON export of your table and the exact Shortcodes via email (the address is on https://tablepress.org/impressum/)?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

Thanks for your support! I have sent an email to the address.

Apologies, I only used some example data and not the real data I am actualy using. I have sent the JSON and the actual shortocdes I am using. Thank you!

    Hi,

thanks! I just replied with the solution and details.

Essentially, you are using different apostrophes in both places: Upright ones ' in the Shortcodes, but curly ones in the tables.

    Regards,
    Tobias
