    Hi Tobias

I continue to love your excellent software, thank you.

I see you have an undocumented and unlinked extension (doesn’t appear in your list of extensions) for Row Grouping

    https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-rowgrouping/

    Is this a current extension?

    I guess really my question/request is :

I want to be able to have a table that has two rows per item. This is instead of a “too wide” table that would scroll too far across. Is that possible, and if it is, how do I arrange it?

    Many thanks

    David (past contributor)

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Yes, this Extension is current, but it will not do what you are looking for here, sorry.
This Rowgrouping Extension can create “logical” group of rows that somehow belong together, but it will not “combine” the rows in a fixed way.

For your request, I can’t think of an automatic solution, unfortunately. You would either need to manually use two rows per item, or maybe look into using an approach for responsiveness, e.g. from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/

    Regards,
    Tobias
