RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: 13: Permission denied

    I’m getting this error in the dashboard on Incoming Links, WordPress Development Blog and Other WordPress News

    I’m using 2.8 and I think it was working in 2.7.1 can’t remember for certain since I updated almost instantly after installing. Freehhostia didn’t have 2.8 as auto install.

    me too, can anyone help?
    i am a newbie of wp and exp many problems
    and these problems encountered makes me unable to update themes, plugin or whatever! .v.

    Me three! I just updated to 2.8 to resolve this (couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting any incoming links), but instead got the same problem, this time with the code. what is up? And is this why my ReCaptcha plugin is giving me socket errors?

    I recently updated to 2.8 and I’m getting the same problem: “RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: 13: Permission denied”

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello, I’m experiencing this problem as well. I’ve also recently upgraded to 2.8.4. My client’s hosting company (APlusNet) blocks all outgoing connections by default so I have to give them specific IP addresses to allow. Does anyone know which are the common ones?

    I tried the following, but I’m still getting the HTTP Error:

    wordpress.com: 72.233.2.57 and 74.200.243.254
    ww.wp.xz.cn: 72.233.56.138
    php.net: 69.147.83.197

    Any help would be much appreciated!
