RSS Feed Button Issues in Chrome

I noticed this morning that I have a couple of different problems using an RSS Plugin.

One of the problems I noticed is that, in Chrome, when clicking on the RSS button, you just get a screen full of gibberish from the page.

I installed this extension, which fixed it for me:

RSS Subscription Extension (by Google) by [email protected]

However, now I’m wondering about anyone, using Chrome, that comes to my site without that extension is going to think that my site is broken.

Is there any answer or fix for RSS that doesn’t involve an extension when using Chrome?
