• Hello.

In switching over from another blogging software I have been running my new WordPress blog parallel with a separate feed. I also had it being forwarded through Feedburner. When I did the original change to WordPress, the feeds worked fine, the subscription button on the page linked properly and all was smooth. A reader pointed out that my permalinks were directing back to my old website and I realized that the permalink format was the same; they had the same filenames. I changed the permalinks on my WordPress site and it appears this is when my feed also changed.

My site http://www.bittermancircle.com , had the original feed, bittermancircle.com/feed and it has changed to bittermancircle/?feed=rss2 which Feedburner turns back upon the site in a feedback loop, Feed Validator doesn’t see as a feed and even when turning off all the RSS related plug ins, does not revert to a standard WordPress feed.

    Thanks for any input.

I figured it out… when changing from the pretty permalink to the ugly I needed to delete the .htaccess file in order to make it work… now for all the other fun parts of redirecting links to the permalinks!
