First problem: Couldn’t advance my RSS Aggregator > Feed Sources feed page to the next page (I have 3 pages full of feeds). I disabled Beacon support and I was able to advance the page to the next one, which was annoying to find out (apparently Beacon breaks pagination in Firefox??). That problem is resolved for the time being by keeping it off. [SOLVED! (for now)]

Second problem: I’m getting error messages (red alert icons) on several of my RSS feeds. It also appears that several of them haven’t been getting updated despite the UI in WP Admin saying they’re updated every 4-5 minutes. My site literally shows years the feeds haven’t changed. Here’s the message next to the red triangle exclamation icons: “Failed to fetch the RSS feed. Error: The resource could not be retrieved eause of a client error with code 403
Server returned 7392 characters, of which 150 are below:<DOCTYPEhtml>…” and so on.

I’ve temporarily shut off all of the outdated feeds, but did notice while doing to the toggle didn’t slide all the way over to the left (off) until several seconds AFTER I clicked on the icon to do so. Seems very slow/unresponsive, even after restart.

Now the site isn’t resolving, which is another troubling issue.
Let me know what I should do! Thanks.

    Hi @arezendes

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I’m glad to know that disabling Beacon support resolved the pagination issue for now. We’ll definitely look into this further to see if there’s a way to prevent this conflict in future updates. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Regarding the 403 errors and stale content: A 403 error generally means the server hosting the RSS feed is blocking our plugin’s request. This could be due to a security rule, firewall, or bot protection settings.

To troubleshoot, please try the following:

    1. Go to RSS Aggregator > Settings > Advanced.
    2. In the “Feed request useragent” field, enter:
      Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/135.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
    3. Save changes and try re-fetching one of the affected feeds.

This often helps bypass the 403 restriction by mimicking a normal browser request.

Feed toggle delays: We’ve occasionally seen UI lag in the admin area when working with a large number of feed sources or limited server resources. Clearing your browser cache, increasing your PHP memory limit, or temporarily deactivating other heavy plugins may help with responsiveness.

If the issue continues, feel free to share a few examples of the RSS feed URLs that are failing here, and I’d be happy to take a closer look and help you troubleshoot further.
