RSS feeds not showing using Shortcode settings and widget

Hi,

I am having an issue with RSS Multi Importer which I noticed today, but may exist longer. I am using WP 3.9.1 and RSS Multi Importer version 2.67.67 (short code settings option) in combination with the Dynamix theme.

Until today (or perhaps a few days earlier) it was working fine, but all of a sudden I am getting this message: “You’ve either entered a category ID that doesn’t exist or have no feeds configured for this category. Edit the shortcode on this page with a category ID that exists, or go here and and get an ID that does exist in your admin panel.”

I did not change anything before this message appeared. I did a few changes today to find out what causes the issue of not showing feeds in the widget or on the page (removed categories for example). Without success so far.

Are there any suggestions on how to solve this? Please note that I am not an expert user, so coding would be a bit tricky…

did you go into the diagnostics page to check to see if the feeds are valid (they could have changed)…what is a feed you are using?

Hi Allen,

Thanks for your quick response. I did and it says “Category Word Filters are On. This could be a reason you are getting no new posts.” 9 times. This is exactly the 9 catagories I had (I now have only 1 due to applied changes to find a solution). The last message on that page is: “Notice: You appear to be using the Shortcode and configured the feeds incorrectly.
This is the most likely reason you have problems. GO HERE TO SEE HOW TO SET THIS OPTION”. Like I said in my opening post, I did not change anything before so I was surprised to see this last message.

Feeds I am using among others:
– http://feeds2.feedburner.com/frankwatching/
– http://feeds.feedburner.com/Marketingfacts_E_business?format=xml
– http://feeds.feedburner.com/Industrialsocialmedia?format=xml
– http://feeds.searchengineland.com/searchengineland?format=xml

FYI, all feeds do not show anything.

if you have word filters on, then they could be filtering any of the feeds…meaning none of the feeds items that are currently available have words in them that you have placed in the filters.

Hi Allen,

I switched them off and still don’t see anything. Would it be an idea to un-install the plugin and build everything from scratch?

first, I suggest using the beta version of the plugin – this will be launched soon and provides more information about what is going on with your feeds
