Would you please give us a link to the site with the problem so we can investigate?
Yes James it’s beamoonbaby.com thanks a lot xx
The RSS link appears to be working now, so I guess you were able to find it?
Not working ? I didn’t do anything more to it. Tbh I’m kinda confused with what rss is all about I think it takes u to a page where u can subscribe to a feed thru a bunch of links…? my rss just comes up with a page of random text. It might just be my browser ..?
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

That’s perfectly normal. An RSS feed is an XML data stream of your most recent posts meant to be interpreted by a feed reader like http://www.rssowl.org or http://newsblur.com not a browser.

So if someone clicks the link without that feed reader what happens ? How is this useful? Sorry for these dumb q’s
I suppose they just see the code like you do.
The link is useful for folks who use feed readers, just like how your Twitter link is useful for folks who use Twitter. There’s nothing wrong with having more ways to subscribe to your site. 🙂
Ok. I just have one more q if that’s alright. On my old site my rss link when I click it delivers me to feeds.feedburner.com/my name which is full of content. On the new page I am building it directs me to beamoonbaby.com/?feed=rss2 which is the text page. Can you tell me why this is ? How do you “use” or get a feed reader if u want to utilize rss? Thanks xx
Feedburner styles the feed for browsers. If you want to use Feedburner on your new site, you have to set it up at https://feedburner.google.com/
How do you “use” or get a feed reader if u want to utilize rss?
Whoops, forgot to answer this one. A few years ago, feed readers used to be very prevalent, more so than Twitter even, everyone had one.
These days, you just search for one, like http://www.rssowl.org/ and install it or http://newsblur.com/ and sign up (or many more). From there, the method for adding feeds are pretty obvious to the user.
Think of it as a way to actively follow your favorite sites without visiting them daily or signing up for Twitter or Facebook.
