rss link? am i missing something?

so i’d like to link to my rss so readers are able to subscribe to my blog via google reader, etc.

i keep reading about rss links being http://www.url.com/feed, but mine doesnt work.
is there something i’m missing? and anyone know what i need to do to set this up?
