Thanks so much for the quick response. I have tried this combination – setting the “insertion” dropdown to “disabled” and ticking the “RSS feed” box under the insertion tab, but nothing shows up on the website or in the feed that way. If this were to work (and maybe I’m doing something wrong), by setting insertion to disabled (as opposed to, say, “after image” or “after paragraph”), how would I control where precisely in the RSS feed the ad would appear?
Sorry, you still need to set Insertion as needed – RSS feed is considered as content so you can use before/after content/paragraph/image.
To prevent insertion on WP pages you need to disable all page types:
