RSS sidebar links invalid
-
Hello all. The default “meta” RSS feed links that appear in my sidebar do not seem to link to anything.
See my site at:
http://www.condofyi.com/
My RSS feeds are supposed to be at:
http://www.condofyi.com/feed/
http://www.condofyi.com/comments/feed/Can anyone point me to a simple tutorial, or forum topic, to help overcome this problem? I have searched the forums and not found quite what I need.
Thanks!

I’m a total newbie at this, but you might want to check out what I’ve just been through getting my RSS feeds set up in a sidebar. Check out:

Similar problem for me and feedburner can’t find them either… It is as if there are things that are added or deleted as you add plugins or something that cause it to be broken. At http://www.projectspossible.com – My site with the RSS problem… I have tried deactivating all of the plugins, reuploading all of the php files, and I still have the problem… Mine is a bit different because my browser eventaully tells me that I have a Feed Error Code.
I believe the correct links are:
http://www.domainname/feed for the Entire RSS and for the comments it is http://www.domainname/comments/feedI have had exactly the same problem but it was relatively easily fixed. In the “sidebar” file there are two lines starting with “feed:” I just removed the word “feed:” and after that the sidebar links work as they should.
I have a similar problem with my feeds:
http://www.smithcreate.com/feed/
http://www.smithcreate.com/comments/feed/
Both seem to work fine in Safari as RSS feeds, but not so in Firefox or other online RSS readers. When I click the links in Firefox it just displays the XML code.

There isnt anything wrong with either of those feeds — youre missing the fact that what they look like in a browser means nothing. Feeds arent intended to be read by browsers, theyre intended to be read by feed readers. What a feed look likes to browser A vs. browser B means nothing.
