• Maybe I’m missing something…

I’m trying to use the RSS widget to add a feed from another site into the sidebar of my blog. When I hit ‘save’ the little spool turns forever (we’re talking 10+ minutes) and it never seems to reflect being added on my blog. Am I missing something?

  • Have you tried adding any other feeds to your site? Can you see the WordPress Development Blog feed in your Dashboard?

I can see the WP development blog on the Dashboard.

I experience the same problem regardless of which RSS feed I try to add in. Is there a particular file I need to overwrite/may have accidentally corrupted?

    Try:
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress 3.0

    – increasing the memory available to PHP:

I, too, am experiencing the exact thing horowitz describes. I have done ALL and more of the fixes you suggest and still come up w/ no .rss widgets.
The other .rss stuff works just not the widgets.
    My website is:
    fitzvideo.com
the blog is reached through the “Sky Surfing – The Flight Blog” button at the bottom of the splash and home pages.
Any remedy for this would be appreciated.
POSSIBILITY: It seems to me the .rss widget functionality ceased with the recent WordPress upgrade. Prior to that I had 2 or 3 of them working in the sidebar.
