Hi @kpk1l ,
Thank you for your message and the information.
I went ahead and tried registering to your event (link to the event page), and it looks like something is erroring out on your site that’s causing the RSVP to not complete (see https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cTnhIAnfWHu).
That said, I suspect there’s a conflict that’s causing the issue here. It would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?
- Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
- Switching to the Default theme.
Please read the Testing for Conflicts Article before doing anything.
To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

I was thinking now that I had this error after install:
The Events Calendar REST API endpoints are not accessible,…
but I don’t know how can I check these endpoints …

Hello. I found the solution. SMTP was not sett.
I’m having a similar issue when selecting the “Going” button. I have a staging website configured on SiteGround. I also have the REST API error described above, which occurs on the staging website, but not on my live website on the same host/account. I have completed conflict testing without luck.
When selecting “Going”, I see the error “POST https://www.staging35.wildmushrooms.org/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 400 (Bad Request)” on the javascript developer console. I have done some troubleshooting, and admin-ajax.php is trying to do_action “wp_ajax_rsvp-form”. However, this hook is not loaded at the time “Going” is pressed (though when I hit back to exit the event screen, the hook is then loaded.)
I’m curious where and how @kpk1l modified SMTP and whether this also resolved the REST API error.
Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

@currentpatterns my server don’t have SMTP sett, so the form can’t be send. So I installed a SMTP plugin.
