run postie/run postie debug/test config all hang

    Just installed postie on wp4.2
    im trying to test it by clicking the 3 buttons at the top of the plugin.
    each one just gives me a blank page and seems to hang.

    any clues where to start looking pls ?

    P.S. mailserver is set correctly as i tested it with the default post by email built into wp4.2

    There have been scattered reports of the blank screen. It appears to be some combination of operating system and PHP version.

    Just out of curiosity how long did you wait after clicking the Test Config button? It might take over a minute for the email check to time out if there is some kind of config issue.

    just to make double sure i have the url right, this is what i tried
    http://www.mysite.co.uk/?postie=get-mail

    and i get a blank page
    php v5.4

    its weird bacuse im getting the posts made onto my website.
    It says the author is “Andy”, i have it set as “admin”

    Postie uses the WordPress user as the author if the “from” email matches, otherwise it uses the “Default Poster” setting.
