I am using SA slider & SiteOrigin page builder. Previously the client I’m designing for used Revolution Slider which I found incredibly slow, however this slider was able to go full width.

The container I am using currently is full-width, I know this as other elements are taking up the full width of the site with any issues. However when I load in the SA slider via shortcode, there is padding on the left and right side.

How can I go about fixing this?

I can’t currently link the page as it’s under construction mode is on, but can provide screenshots of any areas if needed for assistance!

A Slide Anything slider will take the width of the container it is placed in. So if you place it in a full-width container, it will be full-width, if you place it in a half-width container it will be half-width.

I’m guessing that the page layout you are placing it in is boxed – see HERE for info on the difference between boxed VS full-width layouts. Most theme page-builders allow you to add full-width sections within your page content – you will have to consult your theme documentation for more info on this.

Thanks for the prompt response – my layout is full-width and the page builder has allowed for full-width for the slider. My previous slider was in the exact same container, all I did was change the previous slider to HTML and put the SA slider in with shortcode.

Is there something specific in the slider settings that could be blocking this or is the fact that I am embedding it with shortcode interfering with it’s normal functionality?

Nope, as I said a SA slider will assume the full-width of the container its placed in. No way that you can provide me with a link so I can have a quick look – need to right-click ‘inspect element’ to see what is going on…

Hi Simon, I have removed the preview password from my comment – however there’s no contact form on the link you provided.

    Hi Simon,

Thank you. I’ve been able to fix the issue. Though the element was full width, as well as the page itself – there was a column restraining the width. I am however still trying to work out how to remove the pagination dot at the bottom of the slider. (Class is “owl-dot active”)

Other than editing sa-owl-theme.css and removing the pagination button from the script, is there a way to do this from the front-end or am I better just editing the script?

You just need to un-tick the ‘Show Pagination’ checkbox under ‘Slider Settings’ for your SA Slider.

I hadn’t spotted that when looking… so simple. Thanks for your help Simon, so glad I can finally implement this amazing plugin!
